Advantages of rope access (also called industrial climbing) and rope
techniques

• Employing rope access, you can easily and quickly on difficult
  accessible places (above water, very high…).
  -performing the work with rope techniques is often a lot from a cost point of view
  better than solutions such as scaffolding, aerial platforms or sometimes, even
  cranes. Except for rope access technicians, there is no longer any need to
  scaffold builders or crane operators to work. It is certain
  cost-effective in the case of small/short-term
  work where scaffolding construction covers most of the
  budget consumed.

  construction, no space required as with an expensive aerial platform.

Safety

Rope access experts methods have been developed for over 40 years and
applied to industrial conditions to avoid all hazards
appearance. We always work with at least two independent
attachment points or with two independently anchored ropes (EN
1981, minimum 22KN breaking strength and that is comparable to 2.2 tons) where one is working rope and second
fall protection. Ropes are always protected on edge. Tools and materials are attached to the 3rd
rope or harness. Climbing materials are thoroughly inspected at least annually
and checked before each use. All employees who work at height are
trained and also certified for rescue situations.

The scaffolding department offers a fully-fledged alternative for working safely at height through Rope Access.

Rope Access means ‘rope access’ and that is exactly what we do.
By means of rope and positioning techniques we reach places that are not or very difficult to reach with regular means.

Especially in the oil, gas, chemical, and energy sector, where large, high and complex installations are used, it has been shown that modern rope techniques have added value for making hard-to-reach places accessible and performing work suspended in the ropes.

With the vertical accesses, we use ropes, climbing techniques, and safety equipment for inaccessible areas. This can be at height or depth, such as workplaces over water, in tight spaces, or inside buildings. Working with rope access allows us to overcome obstacles safely and efficiently to perform work at height.

What is rope access vertical work?

This is the name given to the techniques to carry out vertical work that are composed of a work line and a safety line, fixed to a structure, and which, together with other equipment, devices and specific accessories, allows the user to access to perform a certain job at a certain height.

Where is rope access vertical work used?

Rope access can be used to reach an inaccessible location. For example, in the civil and infrastructure sector, many years ago, all buildings were rectangular and easily accessible; today, this is different. Cities are full of high-rise buildings. This makes the maintenance and assembly challenge much greater. Most scaffolds and aerial work platforms cannot (safely) reach these locations, so rope access is the best solution.

Rope access builds and breaks down quickly. This saves time and is also suitable for rush assignments.
