Monday night’s episode of Raw was a tough watch. Nothing gruesome or sad happened, the content just wasn’t very good.

The show was chock full of predictable events and we saw four forgettable matches.

Here’s a look at the results:

  • Cedric Alexander def. Noam Dar
  • The New Day and Sheamus and Cesaro def. Anderson and Gallows and The Shining Stars
  • Bayley def. Charlotte in a Non-Title Match
  • Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns def. JeriKO

Aside from the matches, here’s a look at the five biggest takeaways from the next-to-last episode of Raw in 2016.

Big Cass and Enzo are Still Beefing with Rusev and Lana

I’m still not a fan of this feud and these short non-matches between Cass and Rusev aren’t helping.

They bluffed us at Roadblock and did something similar on Monday. Their match never got started as Cass attacked The Bulgarian Brute, forcing the disqualification.

Later, Enzo was forced to attend Sensitivity Training for exposing himself in the workplace.

At the conclusion of the training, Rusev and Jinder Mahal (who Enzo bickered with during the show) ambushed the Certified G.

In the last place you’d expect, @RusevBUL has once again laid WASTE to @WWEAaLLday21… #RAW @JinderMahal @LanaWWE pic.twitter.com/FOl8SxNY1k

Lana would show up to slap his face to add insult to injury.

Neville Declares War on the Cruiserweight Division

Neville’s heel turn at Roadblock was outstanding. His first promo as a heel was pretty good as well.

He made it clear, he wants to rip through the 205-pound division. Yes, please.

There are New Tag-Team Titles

On the first day of Sheamus and Cesaro’s reign as the new Raw Tag-Team champions, these red belts are revealed:

The unveiling was followed by a silly 8-man tag match, but at least the belts are nice.

Sasha Banks limped out to the ring to begrudgingly congratulate Charlotte on beating her in the Ironman Match. Instead, Nia Jax showed up. You can guess what happened from there.

I’d like to see Jax get a run with the title, but it may be necessary for her to get the best of Banks first.

Charlotte’s program with Bayley is set to begin. The Hugger pulled off a win over The Queen on Monday, but there was a question as to whether both of her shoulders were down. I’m not enthused about this feud because I’m not of a major fan of Bayley’s in-ring work.

Hopefully, she can surprise me.

Braun Strowman Comes Crashing into Main Storyline

Braun Strowman vowed to wreak havoc on Monday’s show if he didn’t get Sami Zayn. He didn’t get him and Strowman attacked four different Superstars over the course of the show.

His first target was Titus O’Neill and Sin Cara. He then crashed the main event between JeriKO and Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Strowman eradicated the two former Shield brothers and was the last menacing face fans saw as the episode concluded.

This attack makes him an instant favorite to win The Royal Rumble and to somehow end up in the main event at WrestleMania.
